Project Backboard and Elk Street Park

Elk Street Park

Community members, in partnership with Fulton County Center for Regional Growth, the City of Gloversville and the nationally-recognized organization Project Backboard have been working hard the last few months on a plan to revitalize the basketball court at Elk Street Park. The goal is to resurface the basketball court and to redesign the community seating area.

At the end of the 2019 school year, five finalists were chosen from designs submitted by Gloversville High School art students. In the spring of 2020, the Gloversville community will paint a selected mural to be painted on the restored court. Voting on this final design is now open and will close on November 1, 2019.
