What is 100in1 Day?

100in1 Day: Gloversville is part of a citizen-driven movement changing the way people
experience their cities. The program brings people together from across the community
(citizens, non-profits, business and elected officials) to do many small positive actions in one day – and inspire larger actions throughout the year.
These small actions are low-cost community projects that are free, open to anyone and
designed to create positive, lasting change. Examples of 100in1 Day projects are plant swaps and giveaways, community art creation, neighborhood potlucks, street-cleaning, flower plantings, welcome signs at city gateways and so much more. The great thing is, the possibilities for projects are endless!

When is 100in1 Day?

Gloversville’s 100in1 Day will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Activities will range from one hour to all day depending on the individual project and volunteers.

What do “activities” mean?

100in1 Day:Gloversville’s activities can be as large or small, as quick or as long as the activity hosts would like. They can take an hour or all day. Some ideas of activities include: neighborhood clean-ups, park clean-ups, helping elderly neighbors do yard work, handing out paper flowers to passers-by, holding up welcome signs at the entrances to the city, volunteering at a food pantry, the Senior Center or at the Glove Theatre for their spring clean, take a walk in your neighborhood and hand out seed packets, host a community pot-luck dinner, sing on a street corner, and so much more. Truly, the number and type of activities are only limited to the imagination of our community.
