2019 is going to be a very big year for placemaking in downtown Gloversville and we are kicking it off with a few important meetings this weekend – March 9th & 10th.
Saturday, March 9th
100in1 Day: Gloversville
9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Mohawk Harvest – 30 N. Main Street
Are you curious about what 100in1 Day is? How you can be involved or what we mean by 100 small actions in one day? Stop by Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market (30 N. Main Street) from on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We’ll be hosting a 100in1 Day: Gloversville drop-in table with information and inspiration as we gear up for downtown’s big day!
Sunday, March 10th
Project Backboard @ Elk Street Park
1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Location: AME Zion Church – 135 E. Fulton Street
Project Backboard is a national non-profit organization that works with communities to revitalize existing basketball courts. The City of Gloversville and Fulton County Center for Regional Growth are working together to bring a multi-phase project to a very important component to life in downtown Gloversville – Elk Street Park. Join community members on Sunday, March 10th at the AME Zion Church (135 E. Fulton Street) at 1:30 p.m. for a community discussion and visioning session. Help us answer the important questions we need to make the park the best it can be.
