Almost in the books

2018 is quickly coming to a close and with it comes a review of what downtown Gloversville has accomplished in the last twelve months.

This year we have seen expanded programming and community involvement in the downtown with favorite events such as the Southern Adirondack Wine & Food Festival and Bacon Jam returning; more volunteers participating in programming such as the Project Clean Streets initiative and our expanding partnership with Gloversville Enlarged School District; and building strong relationships with key downtown institutions, organizations and businesses through board training classes, increased communication and chances for people who care about downtown to share their thoughts, feelings and ideas.

We are gearing up to make 2019 even better! Starting in January, you will be able to find full details on our updated website (here). For right now though, feel free to look through our 2018 year in review. This quick presentation includes details on key program areas the Downtown Development Specialist office will be focusing on in the coming year.
