A public Open House to reveal the results of the Downtown Gloversville Development Strategy will be held at the Fulton-Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce (2 North Main Street) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018.
Those in attendance will be able to review Downtown goals and strategies, building reuse plans for four Downtown strategic sites, a Downtown master development plan, and other recommendations from the report. Whether you are a resident, business owner, employer or potential investor, the City encourages and welcomes your participation. The plans reflect community input received as part of a community survey as well as stakeholder input.
The City is taking a proactive approach to advancing strategic redevelopment downtown that will provide the City with a road map for Downtown’s future. The plan will create opportunities for revitalization that will improve the economy and quality of life in Gloversville while increasing tax revenue. Results of the project will also be used by the City, investors, and other agencies to obtain grant funding for strategic redevelopment projects. This effort builds upon existing plans and projects, including the City’s Comprehensive Plan and the recently completed Fulton County Economic Development Strategy.
The draft plan and related will be available at City Hall and by clicking here.
The meeting is open to the public.
