Applications now open for Glove City Arts Festival

Visual Artist Application
Performance & Musician Application

Gloversville, NY is a city rich in artisanal history dating back to its prominence as the center for fashion glove making. In addition, the surrounding beauty of the Southern Adirondack Mountains and mountain lakes provide a creative resource celebrated by the many artists who live and work in the area. Glove City Arts Festival will welcome local, regional and national artists to Gloversville for three day celebration of art (visual and performance). We are currently seeking artists across mediums including live performance, musicians, spoken word and visual artists.

Glove City Arts Festival runs from Friday, August 10 through Sunday, August 12 and will welcome thousands of visitors throughout the course of the weekend. We are currently taking applications for visual artists, performance artists and musicians wishing to participate in the festival. Venues for art and performances will span the downtown of Gloversville, engaging underused spaces such as empty storefronts, parks, glove factories and parking lots. The goal of Glove City Arts Festival is to infuse downtown Gloversville with art in every nook and cranny, providing a unique platform for artists, musicians and community members.
